Technical Capabilities
California Drop Forge operates six steam hammers ranging from 2,500 lbs. (1,200 kg) up to 35,000 lbs. (16,000 kg) and two forge presses that enable us to manufacture a wide array of parts ranging in weight from less than one pound up to 600 lbs. (273 kg). Our Engineering Department utilizes 3D Modeling techniques to streamline mechanical processes, minimize material waste, and deliver the most cost-efficient products.
CDFs expert metallurgists work in conjunction with our Quality and Engineering Departments to develop and refine manufacturing processes that meet or exceed the dynamic requirements of the aerospace industry. When forging some of the most critical, life- controlled components in jet engines and aircraft, there is simply no substitute for experience. With over 100 years in business, CDFs knowledge and experience in closed die forging are unsurpassed.
Lean Manufacturing
E-commerce links with virtually all our suppliers facilitate rapid and secure data transfer, a key element in our "continuous improvement" program. Our objective is to eliminate all non-value added processes, thereby reducing cycle times in all facets of our business. These advanced, "lean" manufacturing initiatives will continue to ensure our world-class status in this global marketplace.
Whether your company is in need of forged or machined components ready for assembly, you can rely on CDF to deliver on time and according to your precise specifications. We invite you to supply us with finished machined prints so that our engineers may design the optimum configurations requiring less forging stock, less machining, shorter lead times with maximum cost savings.
Call California Drop Forge for a competitive bid on your next project. We would appreciate the opportunity to demonstrate our world-class service, as well as the power and precision of a widely recognized industry leader.
